In 2019 I challenged myself and completed my first marathon in 5:11:04. With races being back this year, I have improved my marathon time by an hour since then. I completed my first ultra-marathon this year in 4:58:27. I plan to run my first Comrades marathon in August this year.
Not only is running my escape and my “me time”, but it also taught me to work hard and be consistent. I have been constantly working towards being a stronger runner and improving my times.
I have made so many friends through running. It’s that post-run coffee or breakfast with friends that really gets me out in the morning.
